This week at uni we started our final major project (I’ll be uploading my project proposal soon) and so I’ve been out on the hunt for materials, supplies and images to use. My project is based upon found images, in particular old slides, so I hit Deptford Market this morning to add to my collection, when I came across this gem for the pricely sum of £4…

All out to defend education!

The assembly and march route for the London education demonstration on the 29 January have been announced. Info below from the Education Activist Network website:

In London and Manchester: Click to download flyers (pdf)

The London demonstration will be starting at ULU, Malet Street at 12 o’clock and heading for Parliament. The closing rally will be taking place outside Victoria Towers Garden next to Parliament.

The Manchester demonstration will assemble at 10:30am: Manchester Museum, Oxford Road
March route, setting off 11:00am: South via Oxford Road and Wilmslow Road to Platt Fields Park
Rally venue, 13:00: Platt Fields Park

At LSBU, we have organised a breakfast meet-up in the morning, where we will be joined by local schools, colleges and universities, before heading off to form a feeder march. Details TBA very shortly.
