Went to the Idea Generation gallery today to check out the Nat Finkelstein exhibition. Came across it on Time Out, but I’ve heard of Finkelstein’s work before, and was particuarly interested in seeing his work around the anti-Vietnam war protests and Civil Rights movement in the USA. Although there wasn’t a lot of it there (mainly his work around Warhol and The Factory), it was still really interesting to see his work displayed.
The gallery space itself was also quite cool, and they were kind enough to send me a catalogue via email to use in a Uni presentation. We have to present the work of an editorial photographer for my new Editorial Unit, and this exhibition turns up – happy days.
More select works from the protest series:
I’ll hopefully get round to doing a piece on him for Squidge Mag soon, so watch this space and i’ll keep ya’ll informed.
